There are multiple versions of Cascadia Code available that include ligatures and glyphs. All versions of Cascadia Code can be downloaded from the Cascadia Code GitHub releases page. Windows Terminal ships Cascadia Code and Cascadia Mono in its package and uses Cascadia Mono by default.

This is a highly recommended font for using with some terminal applications of Microsoft and text editors like Microsoft Visual Studio Code. It is supported many Programming ligatures that are perfect for creating new glyphs by combining characters and it will help to make code more easily readable and user-friendly. Bebas Kai Font is the closest font to this typeface.

You can use this new font everywhere. For example I use it in Terminal, Visual Studio Code and since a few days, in Visual Studio 2019.You can install the latest version from the official releases page on GitHub: -code/releases

After the download, you can open the .ttf file and click on "Install".If you have a previous version of the font, the new version overwrite the old one.I recommend to uninstall the previous version before the new installation.

After trying this font on my vscode, I switched back to Fira code, but it's a personal choice. Personally, I Think Cascadia is more "blocky" and visually made it more difficult to understand the code I'm writing. Do you had any problems like me?

Microsoft has released a new font for command-line applications and code editors. The new and sleek monospaced font known as Cascadia Code was created hand-in-hand with the Windows Terminal. The name Cascadia Code is the remnant of the fact, that the Windows Terminal project codename was Cascadia before its release.

Cascadia Font is the default monospace font used inside the Windows Terminal app but it is open source (under the SIL Open Font license) thus free to download, package, and install pretty much any and everywhere, including Linux desktops.

In the spirit of open-source, many designers have released their programming fonts for free, much of them on sites like GitHub. The community loves and recommends these fonts, so feel free to download them and check them out.

There are six styles with an italic set for each, support for various symbols and languages, and it all has a pleasant enough design that you could use it for non-code purposes, and no one would bat an eye.

This font was designed to enhance the modern look and feel of the Windows Terminal. The Cascadia font is a new code font designed to provide a fresh experience for command line and code editors. It features a modern, condensed design with extended character coverage and 74 language support.

Cascadia code font is mainly for coding, text editing, and programming purposes. You can also use this font in the command prompt on your windows and VScode because the original font and the VScode are alluring. However, you can customize windows terminals with this font.

Today going to introduce the good Sans Serif font called Cascadia Code Font updated on Sep 23, 2019. 100% free to download and install it into the system for your Personal & Commercial Use!.

Consider this in contrast to some other fonts. Consolas, for example, has slightly wider letters. However, they are still rather small, which forces you to increase the size by one point to make the font more readable. As a result, lines of code tend to run longer than expected.

I tried adding a font (Cascadia Code -code) in the OS layer and although the ttf file exists at c:\windows\fonts and the registry lists the font as being installed Windows is not able to use the font. Should fonts be in the platform layer? Is there some official guidance?
