The undercard for Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois is about to get underway which means the countdown to the main event is on. The atmosphere inside Wembley Stadium will build over the coming hours before 96,000 fans settle in for what should be an explosive contest at heavyweight.

Since suffering consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk and losing his heavyweight titles, Anthony Joshua has slowly but surely been rebuilding his career. He looked nervy in his victories over Jermaine Franklin and Robert Helenius, but picked up confidence as he dispatched Otto Wallin and then stopped former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in impressive fashion.

The 34-year-old now aims to dethrone IBF champion Dubois in what will be his first fight against a fellow Briton since beating Dillian Whyte in 2015. While Joshua is vastly more experienced at world title level, with 12 championship bouts already under his belt, Dubois has arguably fought tougher opposition in his most recent contests.

"Dynamite" Dubois was also beaten by Usyk, but recovered well to grind down the tough Jarrell Miller and then stop the extremely durable and dangerous Filip Hrgovic to win the IBF belt. The 27-year-old will now make the first defence of that strap and will hope to do it in conclusive fashion as the winner is in line to face either Usyk or Fury next year for all the heavyweight belts.

The Joshua vs Dubois live stream brings a battle of the Brits to Wembley Stadium, as the two heavyweights go head-to-head. They top an absolutely stacked card.

Dubois is the current IBF heavyweight champion. AJ previously picked up this belt in 2016 after knocking out Charles Martin inside two rounds. If he claims it again he would become a world champion for the third time, a huge achievement for a fighter many have questioned in recent years.

He is in good form, winning four bouts in a row after back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk. Dubois got an impressive win against Filip Hrgović in his last fight. He was awarded the IBF belt after Usyk, who won their bout in somewhat controversial circumstances, chose to fight Tyson Fury.

AJ is unbeaten at Wembley, winning all three times he has fought there. He came in at four pounds heavier at Friday's weigh-in. He was 252.5 lbs on the scales, with Dubois registering at 248.6 lbs. Both are heavier than they were for their last bout.

Dubois claimed the IBF interim title earlier this year, and was upgraded to full IBF champion after Oleksandr Usyk opted to vacate the title back in June.

After back-to back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, Joshua is now on a run of four wins as the two-time former unified world heavyweight champion looks to continue his revival.

A dream showdown with the winners of Usyk and Fury's upcoming rematch is the likely spoils for today's victor.

The sold-out Wembley crowd will be in a frenzy as Joshua attempts to become a three-time heavyweight world champion. Entering the ring with a 28-3 record (25 KOs), Joshua has won his last four fights, last losing back-to-back bouts against Oleksandr Usyk in September 2021 and August 2022.

Knockout specialist Dynamite Dubois boasts an impressive 21-2 record (20 KOs). He defeated Filip Hrgović by TKO to win the vacant IBF interim heavyweight title in June 2024, with his last loss coming at the hands of, you guessed it, Oleksandr Usyk in August 2023.

A sold-out crowd of 96,000 is expected at the national stadium, as Dubois defends his IBF heavyweight title and Joshua bids to become a three-time world champion.

Dubois has faced questions over the legitimacy of his position as world champion, having been elevated after Oleksandr Usyk vacated the belt earlier this summer.

The Ukrainian has opted to pursue a rematch with Tyson Fury later this year, rather than fulfil his mandatory requirements against Dubois, who he beat last year.

Wins since then for Dubois over Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic have swiftly returned the 27-year-old to boxing’s top table, though this is by far the biggest occasion of his career, against an opponent who has been here before.

Joshua stopped Wladimir Klitschko in a Wembley epic in 2017, a year after becoming world champion for the first time. A shock defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr derailed the Briton’s progress, before he was then beaten twice in the space of 11 months by Usyk.

There have been signs that the ruthless brutality seen early in Joshua’s career is returning, with Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou recently swept aside, but Dubois represents a significant step up, and the toughest test of Joshua’s career since those Usyk bouts.
